Conference Week

This week, all students in my reading class will be reading The Stranger by Chris Van Allsburg. We spent the first day reading the story and writing a persuasive paragraph about who we think the stranger in the story is. Here are some links about the author.

Author Study

In science, it is all about matter. We will be learning about the properties and 3 states of matter. We will spend a few days talking about matter and our state indicators before we get into a matter webquest.
Ohio Indicators
Describe objects by the properties of the materials from which they are made and that these properties can be used to separate or sort a group of objects (e.g., paper, glass, plastic and metal).
Explain that matter has different states (e.g., solid, liquid and gas) and that each state has distinct physical properties.
